Veterinary technicians are the nurses of the pet world. Their jobs mirror that of human nurses in hospitals and doctor's offices. Their tasks include client education, assisting the doctor, taking x-rays, drawing blood samples, starting IVs, assisting in surgery, anesthesia, dental care and much more. |

Bunny Bunny is a 2001 graduate of Parkland College where she received her Certification in Veterinary Technology. She joined Whitney Veterinary Hospital in 2001. She enjoys many aspects of her job, including ultrasonagraphy, radiology and patient care. Erika Erika joined us in 2004. Most of her life she has cared for many animals and has wanted to pursue a career to do just that. "I appreciate the opportunity I have had to work here at WVH. I have worked in a Veterinary Clinic in the past as a receptionist and I am grateful for the doctors and other technicians for training me and letting me have this great experience of learning in such a knowledgeable and professional environment." Erika graduated ICC in December to be a licensed & nationally certified massage therapist. She has been enrolled in a Veterinary Technology Program through Cedar Valley College in Dallas, Tx. She attends classes online. Dr. Hayes is her preceptor, teaching and testing her along the way. She worked for a pet-sitting company for 7 years, and she served in the Illinois Army National Guard and Ready Reserve as an Administrative Specialist for 8 years. |

Holly C.
Holly C. graduated from Monmouth College in 1989 Holly is married and has 3 children: Adam, Austyn, and Allyx. The family has one dog (Henry), two cats (Pounc and Ally), one lizard, and one turtle. Holly G. Holly G. has been with Whitneys since 1998. She is currently working on her Bachelors in Nursing degree, with hopes of attending medical school. What she likes the most about being a vet tech is that everyday presents new challenges and is never boring or routine. Holly has been married to husband Bryan since 1998 and they have 3 sons, William, Elliott, and Samuel. They share their home with 2 dogs: a doberman named Aslan, and a Shih-tzu named Benson. They also have two birds, a gecko and several frogs. Most of Holly's time is spent with her family and at her church, where she teaches Sunday School and plays in the band. |

Lori
Lori shares her home with Smudge, her cat and is engaged to Mack. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening, music, painting, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Rachel
She and her husband live in Edelstein with their son, daughter and two dogs, a shepherd mix named Bradley and a Spaniel mix named Parker. She and her family enjoy spending time with friends, working in the yard, playing softball and swimming. |

Susan
Susan and her husband live on a small Fulton County farm. They have several four-legged children, including 2 horses named Mac and Chico. They also have a yellow lab named Pepsi and a Great Dane named Barkley. Their home is rounded off with 2 cats. When they're not working on their farm, they enjoy riding their motorcycles and horses, golfing, traveling and mowing, mowing, mowing. Jill B. Jill joined us in May of 2005 and is a 2005 graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Parkland College. She has always loved animals and has had many as she was growing up. Jill has a special interest in client relations and dental cleanings. Jill shares her home with her husband Adam a Shih tzu named Sparkle and a golden retriever puppy, named Chesney. Jill enjoys reading, playing with Sparkle and Chesney, boating and shopping. Jill C. Jill C. graduated from the Parkland College of Veterinary Technology Program in 1995 and began working at Whitney's. She enjoys client relations and patient care. Jill works some Saturdays each month since having her children. She and her husband live in Chillicothe with their 2 sons and a daughter. They have a Doberman, and several rescued cats.
