Koby is a West Highland White Terrier!
The West Highland White Terrier originated in Scotland and shares its’ origins with Skye, Cairn and Scottish Terriers who were all bred to handle such vermin as fox and badgers. A man, named Col. E.D. Malcolm, isolated the short-legged, white strain around 1907 and it was recognized shortly thereafter.
This is a happy, curious and busy little bundle of energy. At under 10”, it is one of the friendliest and most affectionate terriers – except toward small animals. It has an independent nature and can be vocal. Daily exercise and an indoor bed are needed to keep it happy.
The coat will need regular combing and a clipping every couple of months to look its’ best.
We are pleased to welcome Koby to our practice!
