Whitney Cat Care Clinic - Laboratory and Pharmacy

This is one view of our well equipped cat laboratory. This enables us to perform blood testing to diagnose diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, Feline Leukemia, and Feline Immunodeficiency.

We can do urine testing (urinalysis) and fecal samples to test for intestinal parasites without having to send the samples away - which allows us to give you a faster diagnosis, and more immediate treatment.

Our laboratory also allows us to do Cytology. This means that we are able to aspirate cells from growths and organs and examine the cells to check for the presence of infections or cancer.

All of the specialized equipment is carefully covered when not in use to protect it. In the view on the upper left, you can see part of the centrifuge, blood machine and a microscope.

The picture on the upper right is our pharmacy. The convenience of having the pharmacy right in the building allows us to fill your pet's prescription for you and start your pet's treatment immediately.

If your kitty needs to stay here for treatment, there are kennels in an area of the treatment room that is reserved for this so that the veterinarian can readily check on them during the day.
