What Is Circulation?
Circulation is essentially the heart's function. It pumps blood out to the body and returns it to the heart. Then the heart pumps the blood back out to the lungs and back to the heart. Blood pressure is the result of the pumping action and the return to the heart.
- Circulation is a one-way system: That means the blood pumps out from the heart and around and back to the heart and should not flow backwards through the vessels.
- The circulatory system also includes arteries, capillaries and veins.
